I would make that trade in a heartbeat.

Jason Heyward is so good, he makes David Wright piss in Ryan Howard’s pants

I second that.

With the pickup of Pastornicky and what looks like a hot signing in Lipka, we can more than live without Jones, and you’d think that Marek is below Resop and Kimbrel on the relief food chain, and might even be behind Collins come 2011. Plus, flipping him for Scott would give the Tex 2 apologists some ammo to finally make the doubters shut up about that deal.

The fact that Scott hasn’t been in the rumor mill makes me think that would be plausible, too, because Wren is developing a track record of adding people that haven’t been whispered about.

I think it would take more than that to get Scott. I’m guessing we would at least have to add a SP prospect and probably a better MR than Marek. Just no way I would do just Jones and Marek if I’m the Orioles.

I think the Scott trade idea.

is both a good one for Atlanta and a fair trade for Baltimore. Normally these “Team X should make Move Y” columns are inane, but that one is a really good suggestion. Someone tell Wren and MacPhail.

I like this one

Get a good player in return for some good prospects that won’t impact our depth in the farm system.

Anyone notice Santos Rodriguez on there? He was the throw in part of the Vazquez trade. I almost quit reading the article after seeing that. Why would the Nats take only a relief pitching prospect for Dunn?
