Around SBN: How NBA Draft Lottery Results Affect Prospects' High Hopes

Off-Day BS Thread: 7/19

I figured I would put this up since we don't have a game tonight. The last time someone created an off-topic thread it seemed to work out well. Talk about whatever you want, ie how Yunel Escobar finally decided to hit a homer for the Blue Jays, or how the Mets should soon begin their stretch-run implosion, falling back with the Marlins and Nationals. Of course, it doesn't have to be baseball-related. I'm sure The Simpsons will get worked in somewhere if Beard shows up.

Go see Inception. It’s freaking amazing. I was pitched forward on the edge of my seat in rapt attention the whole time.

He’s such a good actor though. And he’s not using a stupid accent in this movie, so it’s even better.
Also, Ellen Page is beyond adorable.

That little twerp is arguably the best actor of the current generation.

I used to not like Dicaprio, but ever since

Catch Me If You Can he has been putting out some good movies. He really has grown up as an actor and come into his own. I will see inception sometime soon.

I saw Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Knight and Day over the weekend, and both weren’t to bad. Knight and Day getting the nod for better of the two.

I hear Tom Cruise runs from his gay thoughts in this movie too.

I keep my internet explorer window in front of my Outlook mail and sized in a way where the window blends in with Outlook and you can’t really see it from 3-4 feet away. Also, I only use my 2nd monitor for internet, thats the monitor thats tougher to see from the opening of my cube. Still, I hear those certain footsteps and I hit X faster than…well fast.

INCEPTION was good, not great.

I liked it a lot though. Just a few minutes too long for my taste and I wasn’t crazy about the Wife and her character, but still very thought provoking and interesting.

Great ending too.

Escobar hit another HR today for the Blue Jays and batted 2-4, it is looking now like a bad trade for us.

Jeff Francoeur was good last year for the Mets, was that a bad trade for the Braves?

Not to debate good or bad trade

just wondering if maybe the AL pitching hasn’t figured out his weaknesses in the strike zone yet. Or maybe that the AL pitching isn’t as good as the NL this year. I’m sure there’s a stat for this. Just too lazy to look it up.

A baseball diamond is, most simply, the intersecting of four 90-foot baselines, and, most powerfully, the intersecting of seemingly random lives.

There is a stat – it’s called the NLHUJTLAWRH: NL Has ubaldo Jiminez, Tim Lincecum, Adam Wainwright and Roy Halladay.

finally no presure he can relax and swing away...

He had been a clutch hitter for us but had gotten in a nasty habit of trying to pull everything……oh yea he made the hard plays look easy but made the easy plays look stupid
