Defending Frenchy

"The fact is that Francoeur's defense is simply priceless. When the ball is hit to him, nobody tries to stretch a single into a double. When theres a runner on 3rd, nobody tries to score on a pop fly and he has multiple putouts this year throwing out runners trying to go first to third. Add that he is great in the lockerroom, then you will see that all that is worth his batting average. To make it clearer, so the simple writers for ESPN understand, Francoeur saves at least 2 runs a game. But lets release him, idiot."

Normally, I don't like to pick on people like this, even if it is a Mets fan.  But I just couldn't resist sharing this gem of a quote I found in the comments section of an ESPN Magazine's article hilariously entitled "Throw Frenchy From The 7 Train."
