I believe Bobby Abreu was the first legit casualty of lost of power due to Derby. Then again, he did hit like 30 HRs during that particular Derby. I never heard of ppl losing it before that.

i mean i can see where it could..

you get in that mind set to hit nothing but a HR..and if you didn’t come out of that mind set..yeah it could..but most of these guys i would think are better than that.

Our pitching is soooo much better than they have in the AL. That will be the difference maker. Plus, we will not have Hoffman closing it out for us. I wonder who will it be this year. Will it be Bell?

My guess is the fact that ASD HR are generally thrown in the fat part of the plate without much movement. RL fastballs left in the middle of the plate are mistakes.

Didn't see it but I think someone said...

He struggled a bit with the first couple batters but settled down and pitched a scoreless inning.

Mike Minor apparently had a perfect inning for the US too.

I watched the game.

Of the two, Minor was more impressive to me. JT, looked much better as the inning went on, and gained composure, as his nerves settled down. They both have great young talent. Minor having college experience under his belt, looked to be near MLB ready. JT is an exciting young kid, with lots of natural ability. They were both fun to watch!

Did anyone notice how Heyward said, “Thank You…Erin.” after this interview. I would expect this smoothness out of a much older person, but 20 year old Heyward conversing with Ms. Andrews like she is just a normal person, wow.

I meant smooth as in more flirtatious like him saying “Thank You…Baby”. The way he said Erin just gave me that vibe. I’m 24, well raised…I would of probably said “Thank You Ms. Andrews”. If I thought I had a chance with her though, I might of dropped the Erin in there.
