Open Thread: MLB Futures Game, World Cup Recap, and More

With no Braves baseball for the next 96 hours, we might as well chat it up about other stuff.

The MLB Futures game starts at 6PM and features Braves pitchers Mike Minor and Julio Teheran.

Spain defeated The Dutch in the World Cup Final in a boring 1-0 game. I have no idea how someone could watch 90+ minutes with no scoring, but hey, discuss that in the thread.

Feel like talking about something else? Movies? Music? Beer? Haithcock? Go ahead! Just please keep in mind to respect TC's and SBN's commenting policies.

Oh, and our Braves have the NL's best record at the All Star Break. Good stuff.

MVHS, you are just too stupid to understand soccer

How dare you dismiss its excitement and beauty.

On a less sarcastic note, I’m stoked to watch Teheran and Minor. I haven’t the pleasure to see either of them pitch life, so I hope they both make it in.

Both seem to have stepped it up a notch in the time since, though.
