Does that mean a complete fail on all levels despite high expectations?

Well, I haven’t been out in awhile cuz of my job, but from all reports people are slowly piecing their lives back together. With the help of a lot of people and their donations, there is no longer immediate need for vital supplies such as fresh water and such. A ton of money was raised, but people have still been devastated, lost their homes, pretty crazy.

Well, I was lucky to not have been really affected by the flood.

Couple feet of water in my basement but nothing too serious. Had some friends lose everything though. It was pretty amazing how the city came together and really helped each other out though. Kinda restores your faith in humanity. There was virtually no looting whatsoever.

3 flaws I see w/Bobby,

Tell me If I’m wrong.
1. Mcclouth has been in way too many games when cabrera has shown better ability
2. Too quick or too late to pull pitchers.
3. Way the hell too much batting lineup shuffle

by WisdomVendor on Jun 9, 2010 12:01 AM EDT reply actions

1. Only recently… it’s been hard to see somebody else actually playing CF
2. Thought he pulled PeMo and just the right time.
3. Not sure there’s been that much of that lately.

it was a good start no doubt. however, you HAVE to consider the opponent when judging any game. that’s not to say he won’t do well in his next game, but with all the hype around this game I will give the kid marks for handling that as well because he could have come in overthrowing everything so he did handle that well. it’s going to be his ability to handle the rigors of the full season and facing better teams and facing them multiple times where he’ll truly be tested though.

Baseball has strange rules regarding the “arbitration clock” start times for when a player enters the league, but they’ll have him for at least the rest of the season and the next 5 after that.

And if he turns out to be as great as everyone is predicting and baseball starts to take off in D.C. (which I think it could because the O’s suck and are providing little to no competition), the Nats will most likely have the resources to keep him long term.

This is speculation that is 5+ years down the line, though, which is ridiculous…

…cause we all know the world is ending in 2012.
