Open Thread 6/5: Braves at Dodgers #2

The Braves are swinging like it's April again. Nate McLouth can't field OR hit. Tommy Hanson has been a bit wild, but is keeping his team in the game.

Dodgers lead 2-0 in the 5th.

Runz for the Braves thread!

is it attributed to:
1. Their pitching
2. Our offense
3. We need a day of rest

Kershaw was dealing last night in parts of the game and Broxton is just unhittable.

I always thought it was funny when an opposing team blog had comments during Venters first appearance that his name sounded like he should own chain of chicken shacks. As in Jonny Venters Fresh Fried Chicken. Maybe you can use that to find inspiration for a personalized Venters “K”

Let's not mess around and let the Dodgers stay in this

It's hard to say what's been most impressive. The seamless jump from AA? The ability to hit for average? The ability to hit for power? The 18 walks in 111 trips to the plate? The flair for the dramatic? When you're trying to isolate the most impressive aspect of Jason Heyward's game, there's a lot to choose from, and it's only been a month and a half.

Well, it worked in the sense that he didn’t hit into a double play, and one out is better than two, but there’s a lot of ways he could have achieved that. And he had better than a 1 in 3 chance of reaching base safely in his own right and loading the bases or driving in runs himself.

That was a stupid sacrifice, even in hindsight.

Hell I don’t know. Wikipedia backs me up.

Despite its heavy international presence, the so-called original Australian beer, Foster’s Lager, has very low appeal and limited availability throughout Australia,2 and is made mostly for export, or made under licence in other countries, particularly the U.K.

Good inning for Moylan

It's hard to say what's been most impressive. The seamless jump from AA? The ability to hit for average? The ability to hit for power? The 18 walks in 111 trips to the plate? The flair for the dramatic? When you're trying to isolate the most impressive aspect of Jason Heyward's game, there's a lot to choose from, and it's only been a month and a half.
