Open Thread 6/20: Braves vs. Royals overflow #2

Kenshin Kawakami couldn't get the job done despite being staked with a 4-0 lead, and we're currently down 5-4 with Kyle Davies sort of settling down and actually delivering.

Runs pls?

Ted Turner doesn't own the Braves anymore

So the Yankees are on TBS and not the Braves. How bad did Kawakami look? As bad as the stat line suggests?

Sneak preview from the new Author TC is introducing tomorrow:
KK SUCKS PERIOD
Finally people are starting to agree w/ me and a couple of others on here that KK is not a MLB pitcher and doesn’t have the skill set to even be a #5 starter. I pray when JJ comes back KK is traded or sent to the bullpen. Problem is with his record he is almost untradeable and is worth nothing as far as value on the trade market.

I mean come on 5 earned runs against the Royals, DAMN IT KK – trade this sorry POS to the Brewers for Beer and Cheese already.

Only saving grace is that the Royals are so crappy hopefully we can come back in this game.

Load the bases, so we can get to their best hitters.
Get their best hitters out.
Score runs in the bottom of the 8th.
Make it easier on Wags in the 9th.

Bobby said Kawakami will make one more start before any decisions are made….

when i asked if he hurt his chances for staying in the rotation, Cox said, "We are not making any decisions right now," Cox said. "He’s got another start to go before we have to do something."

Kawakami is not absolute shit, but he isn’t any good either.

it’s a long season, so I try to temper my excitement just as I always try to not get too down when things aren’t going well. But I just have to say, this is feeling rather ’90s-like to me. I LOVE my team!
