Open Thread 6/20: Braves vs. Royals overflow #2
Kenshin Kawakami couldn't get the job done despite being staked with a 4-0 lead, and we're currently down 5-4 with Kyle Davies sort of settling down and actually delivering.
Runs pls?

Ted Turner doesn't own the Braves anymore
So the Yankees are on TBS and not the Braves. How bad did Kawakami look? As bad as the stat line suggests?

We have traded away great players for less than nothing and let Texierra walk away, and much much more so pray that Hayward is sent from God and that his energy can ignite the veterans and cause the younger players to hustle more and play winning baseball...

I dont know if this has already been discussed but.....
does it drive anyone else nuts that it seems like for the past few weeks Heyward is only being pitched to the outside corner and all he wants to do is roll over on the ball to the second baseman. I know he can hit the other way why is he making the adjustment?
Why the Kyle Davies hate?
I always liked him, for whatever reason.

Oh yeah
I remember checking the AJC blogs after that trade happened and it was fifty times worse than the worst arguments here ever have been. He won a game like two days before the trade too, so his value was never higher, which is probably why the Braves were able to warrant two playesr from the Dodgers for him.

Sneak preview from the new Author TC is introducing tomorrow:
KK SUCKS PERIOD
Finally people are starting to agree w/ me and a couple of others on here that KK is not a MLB pitcher and doesn’t have the skill set to even be a #5 starter. I pray when JJ comes back KK is traded or sent to the bullpen. Problem is with his record he is almost untradeable and is worth nothing as far as value on the trade market.
I mean come on 5 earned runs against the Royals, DAMN IT KK – trade this sorry POS to the Brewers for Beer and Cheese already.
Only saving grace is that the Royals are so crappy hopefully we can come back in this game.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

This from Carroll Rogers AJC
Bobby said Kawakami will make one more start before any decisions are made….
when i asked if he hurt his chances for staying in the rotation, Cox said, "We are not making any decisions right now," Cox said. "He’s got another start to go before we have to do something."
Kawakami is not absolute shit, but he isn’t any good either.

As I've said so many times...
it’s a long season, so I try to temper my excitement just as I always try to not get too down when things aren’t going well. But I just have to say, this is feeling rather ’90s-like to me. I LOVE my team!
