First of all, as a mythology grad student (pacifica.edu check it out, theres no school like it), I am looking at yesterday's retirement talks and conversations with wren/cox as a symbolic death (yes I know, its been a slow death up till now) but death in myth affords opportunities for rebirth, and in this increasingly mythical season, I am seeing lots of reason to hope for a productive chipper in the second half. By the way, on that note, 9 is the number of emptiness, and its a number that signifies a passage to the other side. 9 losses ending on may 9 followed by a 9 game winning streak bringing us into first place... its lookin good...team death and team rebirth....What's more.. every single braves player (besides Prado) died during this stretch, hitting like a corpse... its been glorious, because it is only after such death that one can become so strong.
