Let's just say.. I have the POWAH
It’s gonna be SidGlaus … Hope it doesn’t look like bandwagon jumping on.. Because I have backed Troy and his signing since day 1.. Lol and to think the guys in my fantasy league were laughing at me when I took him as my first baseman lol..
by SidKotchman on Jun 14, 2010 7:15 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I was one of the few that was backing him also.
I watched him play in St and knew he had the ability to be a great hitter, and play some good D at first.
Chipper: "It has never been about money for me, and it never will be about money. It has always been about winning, comfort and playing for Bobby Cox."
His bat has been great
But seriously his defense at first has been awesome.. Ink him for 2 more years.. Freemans not ready IMHO.

any idea what kind of limitations JJ will have tonight?
have to figure he’s on a pitch count at the very least
I just saw one of the biggest men I've ever seen

it seems safe to say that the only real "prospects" in Gwinnett
are Schafer and Freeman, as far as position players go
Yeah.. Take 3rd baseball for example.. Chipper has to be Out.. Omar out.. Conrad out.. Until we call up a position player and then still it would probably be journeyman Joe thurston.. Who isn’t exactly a prospect anymore lol

How's JJ looking?
And any thoughts on what we should do when he makes it back into the rotation? I don’t think it would be smart to move Medlen with the way he has been pitching, maybe KK into the pen?

Agreed but championship teams don't
Keep 0-9 pitchers in their rotations.. Just bad luck.. I like him.. And it sucks.. Just think it’s a big difference if he was 3-6.. We’d be what 4.5 games ahead of the mets?? Which he could be 5-4 with a little luck.. Just hasn’t gotten anyyyyy

I keep hearing trade.
Chipper: "It has never been about money for me, and it never will be about money. It has always been about winning, comfort and playing for Bobby Cox."
Wondering if kc would take resop
For alex Gordon.. He’s still young and has potential.. But yost said despite his triple a performance he won’t be recalled this season.. His 2010 MLB line is deceiving with only 30
at bats..and we all know how kc covets braves prospects..
by SidKotchman on Jun 14, 2010 8:09 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
That and maybe the attitude in kc is so
Depressing that Gordon in a new home he could improve big time

I haven’t thought of Gordon. I think it would be a good option, if KC would do it.

Resop could more than likely jump right in

You know he would.
Chipper: "It has never been about money for me, and it never will be about money. It has always been about winning, comfort and playing for Bobby Cox."
Also.. I think Gordon MLB career is deceiving
I mean he has been playing for kc.. They don’t have a prado, heyward, chipper, glaus, mcann lineup that Gordon could have been sandwiched into that alone I think would help him out tremendously and you would see great numbers out of him.. Jmho.

David DeJesus? Think the Braves have any interest in possibly trying to get him in a deal either now or before the deadline? He is a good hitting CF. Any thoughts?

Yeah,
I have been genuinely surprised that he has pitched as well as he has given his awful Spring. I’m sure the good numbers with the Pirates is what gave him the edge over Proctor. I thought for sure Proctor would make the team coming out of ST. I was wrong.

I would welcome Texas a&m alot of history
There for them and Alabama..I would also encourage one or both of the following.. Asking auburn to leave the sec under a bylaw that states students & fans should restrain themselves from sexual advances onto livestock or face expulsion from the conference.. We all know the have skated around this particular rule.. Also asking Tennessee to just rocky top on outta here.. God how I hate that song…
by SidKotchman on Jun 14, 2010 8:52 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I'm all for Auburn and TN to get the boot out of the SEC, not that it will ever happen.
I’m a Ga girl but live in Tn now. I get So sick of All the orange especially on game day. Auburn because my ex graduated from their Vet school. Alabama is OK, simply because my mom attended college there.
I agree I’d take A&M over most of the other colleges I’ve heard mentioned about joining the SEC.
Chipper: "It has never been about money for me, and it never will be about money. It has always been about winning, comfort and playing for Bobby Cox."
I would also take north carolina
From the acc.. Good basketball..and a growing football team.. The duke rivalry might be too strong for them to jolt from the acc though.. Heck take duke too.. Add a&m and southern miss to west .. Duke and nc to east.. Just fantasizing..
by SidKotchman on Jun 14, 2010 9:17 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
as much as i hate ‘em, i wouldn’t have minded clemson joining the east if a&m had joined the west. our history with the tigers is a lot richer than most of the teams in our conference, and the proximity to athens makes the rivalry that much more intense.

I would probably freak out if someone broke Hammer’s record. (yeah, yeah, Barry Bonds broke it but he doesn’t count, there’s too much controversy with the steroids issue) i want that record to stand.

Game tied in the 8th 2-2
Chipper: "It has never been about money for me, and it never will be about money. It has always been about winning, comfort and playing for Bobby Cox."
Remember when all the "experts" picked Seattle to win the West
and how much of a genius their new GM was?
Funny, I don’t hear that much more. Defense is essential to winning, but so is hitting the damn baseball. I think they forgot that.
