A little All-Star Love for Troy
Hey team,
The last FanPost I Had, I asked the question "how long do you wait" in reference to Troy, Melky, and Nate providing nearly nothing at the plate. Well, it's a good thing we did some waiting, as atleast 2 of the 3 are smashing the ball around the park these days. As you guys Know, Troy is now batting .274 with 8 bombs, 37 RBIs and a .368 OBP (this all after a month of .316, 6, 24, and .400). So I'm dumbfounded on how he can be trailing Lance Berkman (a friggin .227 avg with 5 and 17) and James Loney (.286, 4 and 32). Glaus is having a way better year than Fielder ( .267, 7 and 19) but I know fans love to watch the big guy swing the bat. He's got more RBI's than Howard (37 to 33) and his OBP is nearly 60 points higher, but the fair weather fans will blindly vote for the phillies. and Albert Pujols is, well, Albert Pujols. So I don't see Troy making the All-Star team, but as Braves fans, lets force the rest of the nation to atleast take notice of his performance by voting him as high up the list as we can.
p.s. if Hewyard and Prado don't make the team, I'll lose all faith in humanity
p.p.s. do you guys know when this weeks all-star tally is supposed to come out?
Yea, Sewanee's Right

Suggestion:
2 All star games- 1. Exhibition game between the Yankees and Phillies, and 2. The REAL All Stars based on performance, not voted by fans (as all fan votes would have gone to Yankees and Thillies anyway).
Oh, and fire Bud Selig
Forgot the Red Sox.
I fed a fish to a pelican and Frisco bay and he tried to eat my cell phone he ran away
Nah, the Red Sox can be in the real all star game, they’re getting no love this year cause they kinda suck, and they didn’t sell their souls the devil.

I wish they would do away with fan voting for all AllStar games
it screws it up for everyone.
The allstar game in baseball is a joke because of phillies fans, and the pro-bowl in football suffers from the same problem.
Looking at our schedule...
and the cross country flights needed for those in the All Star game, I’m hoping we have a lot of snubs this year.
Touche Mr. Sanchez
the rest would be nice

We'll have a few all-stars
I would bet that after this series with the Phillies where attendence will be above average that both Prado and Heyward will move up a few spots in the voting at their respective positions. Heyward could easily move into the 2 or 3 spot in the course of a week with the small distance between him and the top 3. Prado has no chance to catch Utley, but I think that the players and coaches will make sure they recognize a guy who is sure to be in the top 5 in hitting and probably leading the league in hits come the All-Star game. It’s a shame that 1b is such a stacked position because Glaus does have top 3 numbers in a lot of categories as far as 1B goes. I could see Tim Hudson sneaking in though with the year he’s had so far…whether or not he continues it is another story.
