So, looking through the pitch-by-pitch data on Gameday, Hanley’s gotten screwed over twice with called strikes in full counts. It stinks that the Umps are handing a perfect game bid to him.
Gameday and Gamecast are BS on their strikezones.

So anyone watch the complete game in full?
Gameday makes it look like there was some pretty questionable umpiring-any feelings on that?

I know one of those had to be Hanley’s where it was a full count. Hanley seems to have been screwed over twice with a full count.
Hanley had two looking strikeouts…one was borderline, the other was an obvious ball.

Perhaps
But when a call like that in a full count ends up being the different between a perfect game and not, I’d rather know that the ump is just calling the game, not paying attention to the pitcher.
Totally agree
But its going to happen. Its like the vets get calls where as the rooks get screwed. Or if you have a pitcher that is wild he wont get the borderline calls that the other guy will get.

Maybe for a holiday
Maybe just light a candle
Take a seat for the ride…….
