MUST RECONFIGURE STRIKEZONE PARAMETERS TO ACCOUNT FOR FALLIBLE HUMAN UMPIRE - CyborgHanson48

by BullManUGA on May 29, 2010 9:01 PM EDT reply actions

So, looking through the pitch-by-pitch data on Gameday, Hanley’s gotten screwed over twice with called strikes in full counts. It stinks that the Umps are handing a perfect game bid to him.

by Bronn on May 29, 2010 9:02 PM EDT reply actions

Coghlan also got screwed over to start the game with a full count.

by Bronn on May 29, 2010 9:03 PM EDT up reply actions

Gameday and Gamecast are BS on their strikezones.

Sometimes they do seem to be miscalibrated. It’s all I’ve got to go on, though.

by Bronn on May 29, 2010 9:04 PM EDT up reply actions

I was watching part of the game earlier and they weren’t calling anything out of the ordinary. The Marlins seem to be swinging at everything though.

marlins pitcher just got screwed over again. He threw a curve that was a little outside but Halladay threw the same pitch that was called strike three to coghlan.

In the NL East
They can meditate
They can recreate the sound of Ohm
And bring us home
I think I’ll go there someday
Maybe for a holiday
Maybe just light a candle
Take a seat for the ride…….
