This one is on Bobby

Why the fuck would you bring Saito in for the 3rd straight night?

so our bullpen isn’t capable of keeping a two run lead?

its the fact that

saito is 40 years old and fragile. why pitch him on his 3rd straight day with a 4 run lead?

by drumzalicious on May 19, 2010 9:50 PM EDT up reply actions

fragile? he’s a professional baseball player.. 3 innings on 3 separate days? come off it…

No, he seriously should not have been pitched tonight. He’s 40 years old and has a history of injuries. He’s not used to pitching that many games in a row.

whatever, i’m much more concerned with the inconsistent strike zone the past two innings. i think it’s ridiculous when a coach gets 100% of the blame for the players…

That may be true, but it’s still his responsibility to not hang a fat pitch over the plate, even if it is strike 5.

by EricGreggWasPaidOff on May 19, 2010 9:58 PM EDT up reply actions

ok

i understand you. i really do. the point of the matter is that in the 8th inning. heck in the 7th inning bobby could have used other pitchers at that time. the better thing would have been to use Chavez, Kimbrel, or Venters. Then the 8th use Moylan or EoF.

We had a 4 run lead there was no reason to use our 8th inning set up man who we signed knowing that he wouldn’t be able to be used on 3 consecutive days to often especially when he has pitched so much this month.

by drumzalicious on May 19, 2010 9:58 PM EDT up reply actions
