So, in other news, Royals fired third base coach Dave Owen today. Owen will be replaced by former first base coach Eddie Rodriguez, while Rodriguez’s first base coaching gig will go to former Royals first base coach Rusty Kuntz.

I just like the fact he says – “Lets get 2 runs here”, etc. It’s always like HE is still a part of the team in the commentary and not trying to be PC and feel a need to endlessly praise the opponent. He’s rooting for us to win and I like that.

KK wasn’t really bad. He got screwed on some bad defense and wasn’t very efficient on managing his pitch count. Other than that, it was a decent start.
