Seriously though, congrats to Ned Yost for getting another shot, even if it is with the Royals. I always liked him when he was in Atlanta.

The birth of Jason Heyward was God’s punishment for the sins of the people in New York and Philly.
KC is setting up Ned Yost for failure. Maybe the problem isn’t the management of the team. Maybe it’s in the collection of ballplayers in the locker room. KC does have some young talent to be sure, but not enough. And this playing in the weakest division in the AL. Expecting Ned Yost to turn this version of the Royals into a contending team is asking a bit much in my opinion. I understand why these moves are made, but it’s unfortunate that coaches have to pay for the front office’s mistakes. And the Royals have made more than a few over the years.
