Think of everyone you have ever seen hit a ball. When I say hardest, I dont necessarily mean homeruns, but rather good, solid, brutal impact. Off the top of my head, and in no particular order:
Heyward
Sheffield
RANDALL SIMON. (seriously, that dude smacked the shit out of balls.)

Worse
He had like a 5 ERA around this time last season.
Your standards for suck seem different than mine
He was awesome for three weeks, and has struggled, slightly, in two of his past three outings.
He's not sucking this year, though
He’s not even struggling. He’s barely experiencing a bump in the road.
My point is he's just a slow starter
It’s for all the Moylan sucks people
And his point is the Moylan isn’t doing poorly this year.

He made two sliding catches, then slid into first on an infield single. Then we joked about him sliding everywhere…including when he walked.
He slid to catch like 4 balls in RF. He slid into foul territory trying to catch 2 others. He slid into first. He likes to slide.

Yes
The vesting option for Saito has to do with the same thing, though, but that’s how the bonuses are figured into Wags’ deal. FW thinks they’re a sure thing to be exercised, but won’t disclose how much they’re worth.
From cot's...
1 year/$7M (2010), plus 2011 option
signed by Atlanta as a free agent 12/2/09
10:$6.75M, 11: $6.5M club option ($0.25M buyout)
2011 option guaranteed with 50 games finished in 2010
That’s Wagner.
Saito is…
1 year/$3.2M (2010)
signed by Atlanta as a free agent 12/3/09
performance bonuses:
$0.5M based on appearances
$1.8M based on games finished
So only Wags has a vesting option. Saito is a strictly one year deal, although we can still offer him arbitration after the season.
Guess I had it backwards
I still know there’s some incentives factored into Wags’ deal, since FW was grandstanding about how much money the Braves are actually spending, since he says the incentives are almost a sure thing to be reached. And also those in Glaus’s deal.
Wags deal lists no incentives...
although I wonder, if he retires, does that mean we don’t have to pay the buyout?
Just in case
Watch him end the year 2-3 saves short of Franco. I think he’ll come back to get the job done then, especially if he’s more than capable.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Does that matter though?...
I thought it was an option that vests if he finishes so many games. If he fails to finish enough, we can still pick up the option, right? That is if he wants to play one more.

Are you watching Sportsouth? They’ve shown 10 straight minutes of commercials, according to my Tivo.

We’d have to lose a big contract or two

he is a perfect fit if we could land him

depending on the amount/length of the contract
at 31 years old i would probably only want to give him a 3 year deal (4 max). think bay’s 66 mill for the mets.
late bloomer

We have a RF...
we need a leadoff man. Werth isn’t bad, but I’d rather not pay him what he’d get. We’ve got enough pieces going forward no need to spend big unless it is a clear need like leadoff, or a younger player that can join the rest of the core.
hm
wonder why they stopped showing the game and kept showing commericails… now just a black screen.. ahh back on now
finally back on!

How sweep it is Chip? I hate you.
SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shouldn't Wes Timmons get a shot at 3B over that Chipper guy everybody talks about?
Careful, they are hard to stop...
and you’ll end up with a flooded house as they keep bringing buckets of water.

Hubby called – he just NOW landed in Australia (took him to the airport yesterday at noon).
He’s safe, Braves WON and we’re headed back to the Ted.
Life is good.

Just landed? How did he just land? That’s weird
Jason Heyward bunted once, and it ended up being a homer.
If I'm not mistaken...
I think someone called this in the team confidence poll earlier this week.

We have beer and wine in the refrigerator here at work.
