More on Brian Jordan's Comments About Chipper Jones

Stay connected for news and updates

Talking Chop reported last week on some comments that Brian Jordan made about Chipper Jones during an appearance on an XM radio show in which Jordan blasted Chipper for a lack of physical preparation. In today's AJC blog column, a secondary reporter passes along a few conflicting notes about Brian Jordan's apparent apology to Chipper:

Brian Jordan apologized to former teammate Chipper Jones after recent comments he made on a nationally syndicated radio show.

...and then the next sentence contradicts the previous sentence...

Jordan said Friday that didn’t necessarily apologize for his comments – that Jones should train harder and stretch more to avoid injuries – but rather that the Braves third baseman had to deal with the fallout.

So he apologized, but he didn't? Then in the actual Jordan comments he seems to say that he was sorry Chipper had to deal with the comments, and not that they were made in the first place:

"I told him I was sorry he had to deal with all that in New York."

That's almost as confusing as Brian Jordan's on-air analysis. I'm not sure who this Chris Vivlamore is who seems to be filling in for DOB, helping out Carroll Rogers, but I think we need some editorial clarification there AJC. Again, though, maybe that's as clear as he could be with a Brian Jordan comment.
