The Official Thunderdome

Bm2002-0968-08292340-thunderdome-_medium

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.

Welp, after an abysmal 0-7 roadtrip, and nine straight losses, I think we're close enough.  As I said I would, if the Braves were to get swept by the Cards, I bring to you your official venting thread.

Rules:  Yes, there are rules.  Stick to baseball.  Racist, homophobic, vulgar, and attacks to other members will not be tolerated.  No dirty pictures.  Stick. To. Baseball.  Even post your most pointless animated gifs if you want to.  This thread's getting deleted in 24 hours or unless someone else does it.  STICK. TO. BASEBALL.

Anything deemed excessively inappropriate will be immediately deleted without explanation.  Try not to white knight and incessantly challenge everyone's frustrated opinions, this time around - this is supposed to be therapeutic.

Have fun, get it all out, I know you're all frustrated and miserable about the current state of the Braves.  We all are.  But we're all (I hope) grown up (enough) to know our limits.  It's not like I have to remind you three times (oops) to stick to baseball or anything.

Welcome to the Thunderdome.

Just to see if you're paying attention, and not rushing to whine, the first person I catch asking what happened to JJ/Jair/Jurrjens/the Kid from Curacao gets banned.

I hate that the damn Muts are n a 7 gam winning streak while we are sucking so hard. One thing that made me smile while were sucked last year was the Muts sucking even worse. :(

Maybe that’s what the Braves need, to play some patsies just to feel what winning feels like again. But then again, if they lose, then that’s a huge blow.

Who said anything about patsies?

They’re actually a pretty good peewee team; they’re certainly staying competitive in their league.

But yeah, can you imagine when Glaus gets K’d by a 12-year-old? Or KK gets shelled? LOLZ

can anyone explain to me why our hitters are taking strike one and strike two and putting oursleves into bad hitting counts? On a side note, when I played baseball in high school as well as college, my coach always taught us that when you are in a slump, GO THE OTHER WAY, our hitters seem to want to hit 9 run home runs all the time!!!!!!

fire everybody and start over!!!

Bobby this isn’t meant to be a victory lap. Step up and manage.

TP – are you even paying attention to the season?

Chipper catch the ball for crying out loud!

Glaus please quit.

Yunel take up on fly balls.

Glaus don’t hit into any more inning ending double plays. Just strike out in those situations so someone else can at least get a shot.

LOB is an awful stat.

Starting pitching from here on out you have at most 2 runs to work with. Yes there will be many errors so a no hitter might be useful.

Glaus field your position. I don’t care if Chipper doesn’t have the arm to get it to you…you’re a 1B man…scoop it.

TP seriously stop thinking this is the Bravos of the ’90’s…the 3 run bomb is dead in Atlanta.

Heap, I love ya buddy, but no more wild throws to 2nd and allowing the runner to advance to 3rd. Just let them go.

Pedro Cerrano: Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.
Eddie Harris: You know you might think about taking Jesus Christ as your savior instead of fooling around with all this stuff.
Roger Dorn: Shit, Harris.

Here are Pujols's stats: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000. That's right. He is batting a thousand, with a thousand OBP (naturally), and every hit has been a home run, and thus his OPS is a perfect 5.000.

everyone thought I was crazy last season

as much as I stuck up for KJ. You know, telling how good a player he already is and could grow to be, but that he just needed to play every day.

Now he’s playing everyday, even against (gasp!) lefties, and he’s hitting like Killing in the Name turned up to 11. Meanwhile, Adam LaRoche suddenly feels like hitting. I wouldn’t have minded signing him for another 2 years (which I also suggested).

So KJ has 9 homeruns, and Roachy has 4 for a total of 13. How many HR does our team have? The answer may not shock you. 12. Yes, that’s right, our two non-tenders have more homers than we do. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this.

I want to go back to August/Semtember of last season, when we were putting it altogether, and wheel that forward to now.

My Rant. (Warning foul language and bad grammar)

Braves learn the fundamentals of Baseball.

To Bobby Cox, why are you talkin shit to the most productive player on the team in Heyward. He is leading the team in HR and RBI while being a FUCKING Rookie! Wow this team stinks. Bobby, why the fuck did you pitch to Renty back in the SF game. We all knew he was hot as hell at the moment, why the fuck did you need to pitch to him at that particular moment. Bobby, why did you let Moylan pitch to a left handed bat in that critical situation during the Cards game the other night. You had 2 FUCKING LEFT HANDED PITCHERS in the bullpen. Use them for goodness sake. We were (and still) on a losing fucking streak. Try everything in your power to break it. DAMN!

Hey Frank Wren, great job finding that BIG BAT we needed. Glaus does not scare anybody except me when he comes up to the plate b/c I know he is going to do something to fuck up my day. We need a destroyer between Chipper and Mac and you did a poor job to fill that need.

To Chipper, you are 38 years old. Stop acting like a dumb ass teenager by trying to prove people wrong. If you are hurt, stay off the fucking field. You are a veteran ball player, you must have heard far worst shit about you than you being old and need to take care of your body. Grow the fuck up.

To Lowe, FUCK YOU!

To Escobar, get you head in the fucking game.

To the rest of the team, I know you probably have done something wrong that got my goat but I will not call you out at this moment b/c it would be just petty.

I feel bad for KK, Huddy, and Hanson. They are pitching their asses off to only get let down by shitty run support.

And to Lowe once again, FUCK YOU!

Thunderdome!

The best idea since the powers that be decided to move a Milwaukee franchise to Atlanta.

I feel better that we can get this anger out of our system.

by romone_braves91 on Apr 29, 2010 7:41 PM EDT reply actions

This team is making it awfully hard to be upbeat. Then I think back to how crushed I was in 1991, and how much shit I took after game 7 when I talked A LOT of shit after the 13-5 pounding the Braves delivered to the Twins in game 5, and this suddenly seems pretty mild in comparison.

Then when you add in 1992, 93, 96, 97, 98, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 (Go fuck a kite Chris Burke) this is like a hangnail being compared to open heart surgery.

Here are Pujols's stats: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000. That's right. He is batting a thousand, with a thousand OBP (naturally), and every hit has been a home run, and thus his OPS is a perfect 5.000.

We all know whose fault this is

the TC Moderators.

First we can’t post anything negitive. Then we can’t post anything at all. And now we are supposted to post negitive things? I can’t consistently post consistent posts when you keep jerking me around like this. You’ve all been consistently unconsistent since this whole mess started. And we can’t consistently win like that, but we can consistently lose. Think about that.

Remeber consistency is key.

after last years playoff push was over i had an empty feeling in my stomach. i knew we could be good this year and our offseason moves, in my opinion confirmed that. i spent my entire spring break in FL watching this team who was dominating. i was on this site every day in spring training counting down the days till the season started.

On April 5th I made a 11 hour round trip to see opening day and it was the most fucking awesome game i have ever seen. when we went to 8-5 I knew we were headed for greatness. I couldnt even do homework bc I was so pumped about watchin the game that night.

Now 9 days later look how that has all changed. I sit thru a daily load of shitty classes only to come back in time to see our asses get destroyed. Its fucking pathetic. My roomate is a Tigers fan from Michingan and he gets to see awesome offense nightly and its the fucking Tigers who suppose to finish in the basement of the AL central.

I couldnt wait to get home to Chattanooga and drive down and watch this team several times a week like i’ve done every year in the past but i feel like thats fucked now.

And the worst part about all is this team has the potential to be awesome. I know that from career stats and watching them dominate the grapefruit league. This is bullshit

Dear Martin Prado, you are no Kelly Johnson, but I am damned glad that you are our second baseman. Start hitting again.

Dear Chipper Jones, WTF? Are you hurt or not? If yes, sit out. Fuck Brian Jordan and his younger than you but retired ass.

Dear Yunel Escobar, where did you go? I have not seen Yunel Escobar all season. Please come back.

Dear Brian McCann, please please please please learn to play some D.

Dear Jason Heyward, please sign an extension that lets us buy out your arbitration years and at least 1 FA year. Also, please get your plate discipline back.

Dear Nate McLouth, WTF?

Dear Matt Diaz, WTF?

Dear Melky Cabrera, WTF?

Dear Bobby Cox, WTF?

Well Shit! I was pissed last year with the season ending 6 game losing streak.

I’m not so pissed now for some reason, I have said it before and I’ll say it again I AM SORRY BOBBY CAME BACK THIS YEAR!! I said before, he cost this team a bunch of games last year. Can’t quantify it, but how many games did we lose just because of fucking Norton last year? How many games did we lose because Bobby wouldn’t pull a pitcher having a meltdown and how many games did we lose because he kept playing the same relievers till they were tired. Don’t even want to get into how many games did we lose because he left Frenchy, Schafer and KJ in the fucking games. HOW FUCKING MANY GAMES DID WE FUCKING LOSE? How many games are we going to lose this year because of the same shit? Not to mention Frank Wren and let’s get every cheap player we can! SHIT MOTHERFUCKER PISSSSSSS and WHAT THE FUCK DID I SAY THAT IS UNTRUE AND RIDICULOUS? Other than my poor attitude of course.
