Braves and Mets are tied in a pitching showdown battle of bad offenses at Citi Field tonight. Chipper drove in the lone run for the Braves in the 3rd and rookie Ike Davis hit a solo HR to put the Mets on the board in the 5th.

Is my logic that I’d rather forfeit an out than lose Chipper for several games due to an injury because of a collision trying to get that ball? Granted, there likely wouldn’t have been a collision, but I understand Chipper’s caution.
