The AOL Fanhouse article about their game is wrong. Said it was the first triple play since April ‘09. That can’t be right since Frenchy hit into one last year.
The game was in Oakland. They saidi was The 1st Time a player hit a 3-run homer & triple play in the same game, since Holliday in ’07

No. He’s only not played in one game this season, and that was the Lincicum start in SF, when it was raining heavily.
In Justin’s defense, Nate did start out the season with a nagging hamstring. Yes, he’s appeared in more games as a pinch hitter….but he’s only started in 10 this season.

He’s appeared in games as a pinch hitter/defensive replacement when he didn’t start.
He’s been not starting all those games (except the rain game in SF) because Bobby has been moving Melky between LF and CF based on which hand the pitcher throws with and, effectively, platooning Nate and Diaz in the lineup.
That was my original argument.
I’m on your side. I was just pointing out that the hamstring thing was real the first couple games.

Question.
Our biggest problem last year was we did not have a big bat to hit btw Chipper and McCann. And we address that by getting Glaus. So why does it feel like we have that same problem this year?

Yeah I never really understood why people questioned his power. He hit 19 as an 18 year old in the Sally, a notoriously pitching heavy league, and then flattened out in a fairly difficult environment but while still leading the league in doubles.
I got 2 balls signed by him today. It was a good day.
Also, Scott Proctor is an awesome person.

he actually throws the ball really well. trust me, im an amature tod mcshay.
his biggest problem is his offense, he never had to make full field reads, and rarely had to throw into tight spaces,
he would be great in INdy as a backup to Peyton learning that offense. that was where i thought he would end up.
he has a great mind and is relatively intelligent and if he can learn to make reads, and shorten his mechanics and get the ball out quicker he has a decent shot, bc he is a smart QB
but his arm is certainly not the problem, throwing a tight spiral is so meaningless for a QB its not even funny
