PrintOk everyone just letting you know that I am tired of having to sort through all of the Troy Glaus can be fixed this way or Melky Cabrera is terrible because type posts. I've deleted three tonight and I will subsequently delete any others that crop up in the near future. Yes the guys are doing terribly but please find another thread to talk about it in. Hell talk about it in THIS thread and rec the crap out of it so we can keep it around, but for reals. NO MORE FANPOSTS DISCUSSING THE EARLY SEASON WOES OF A PARTICULAR PLAYER.

In other news, that win was crazy. I’ve been feeling like crap today, and I was still feeling like crap all the way until Glaus’ AB in the 9th. Now, thanks to that win and this post, I feel a lot better.

I hate these threads as much as anyone (actually, I’ve been annoyed lately with the overall speed of fanposts/main articles — it makes it difficult to keep discussions going sometimes with stuff getting pushed off the front page so fast, but I digress…)
My suggestion: the rosterbation thread. It was a great place to keep all of this kind of stuff. Just a thought.

Now if we can just do a ban on the lurkers in the Open Threads who only drop in when something bad happens. I swear it is ridiculous to have to wade through 50 comments on how Troy Glaus can go f- himself, or how Melky sucks. I had to leave last night it got so unbearable. (that and my computer can’t handle it when the threads get around the 1000 comment mark) And thats a shame, because we had a good crowd in there with the regulars, and even Smoltz’s Beard and mvandonsel have come back after long hiatus’ss’s’s from the OT’s. I swear, i’ve never seen such gloom and doom when a team in trailing 1-0 in the FOURTH INNING. I can only imagine how much worse it got until the bottom of the 9th.

I felt like my head was going to explode with all the negative Glaus comments. The negativity on the OT’s is worse than last year. I didn’t think that was possible with the FYF, KJ and FUGA comments, but I was wrong. The thing is Glaus has not been the only player struggling. Why all the hate for him? As I commented last night, it’s hard to believe this peeps are Braves fans :(
What’s even more crazy is that Glaus isn’t really looking bad. He is crushing balls, and is second on the team in HRs.

I think Glaus had under a half dozen supporters, until the 9th inning last night……
Maybe, the negativity will stop for awhile, but after his first GIDP, it will probably start back :(
I got into a yelling match with some “Braves fan” at the game last night. I offered to buy him a Phillies jersey if he’d like. He yelled at “Skinner” for not sending McLouth… but I’m pretty sure he meant Snitker. Then all he could do was yell at Glaus every AB. I heard too much Glaus hate at the Ted. You don’t even need the OTs to get tired of superficial Braves fans anymore.

that I was off to a bad start this morning after last night’s little league game followed by that monsterous 20 innning R-Braves heartbreaking marathon last-inning loss to Kannapolis???

is there a benchmark? Or some type of record that if the braves hit all of a sudden it will be OK to start posting this stuff?
If the braves drop 5,-6-, i mean 7 or 8 games in a row, then is “venting” allowed?

If the venting is logical (Like, “Why is Melky going deep in the count nearly every AB, but hitting mostly weak GBs?”), it is always fine.
However, saying stuff like “Melky SUCKS” with no logical support or analysis of any kind is just immature. Do that at the water cooler, not at a place where people come for intelligent baseball conversations.
