PrintThe penultimate game spring training, and we're back here at the Ted in Atlanta. The season is so close you can taste it. Here is tonight's lineup for the Braves:
Melky Cabrera, CF
Martin Prado, 2B
Chipper Jones, 3B
Brian McCann, C
Troy Glaus, 1B
Jason Heyward, RF
Yunel Escobar, SS
Matt Diaz, LF
Eric Hinske, DH
The pitchers will include Tommy Hanson, Billy Wagner, Takashi Saito, Kris Medlen, and Scott Proctor.
Nate McLouth was a late scratch with a groin injury.

I’d have to do the radio if Joe were to go away. No one makes the games worth listening to like he does.
I’m really gonna miss the chemistry he and Boog had together.
Chip will be a whole lot easier to tolerate this year if he would just known when to squeal like a girl and not.

Pregame interview with Chipper said 1-25 – of all the teams he’s ever played with – this team is SOLID. He said that’s not real “sexy” but it fits this team and they the ability to get the job done if they stay healthy.

Pierre? Well, he certainly does hit a lot of singles and steal some bases. Doesn’t do anything else at all though. I’d take any guy on our roster but Conrad over him batting leadoff.

He’s able to bunt for a hit, steal a base, and has great speed. That’s all you really need.

I don’t know why they do it, but for some reason i like that the Braves don’t wear their real uniforms until the regular season. Maybe Bobby thinks the honor should only go to those who have earned it or something.

We haven’t scored, but we have gotten Floyd up to 54 pitches in three innings without scoring. That’s a good sign.
