Could the Braves Offense use a lineup change?

So far this season our offense has been kind of lack luster since the first game of the season.

Of course we can say you know "Calm down its only 7 games" however somethings should be addressed mainly our lead off role. Melky Cabrera has been an albatross at the top of our line up hitting .103/.212/.138. Thats terrible and there is no other description about it. McLouth hasn't been to much better but he at least has a .348 OBP.

So what is my suggestion you ask? Put those that are hitting at the top. Pretty much common sense. It would be great to have a guy at the top of the line up who can run and steal some bases but since we dont really have anyone like that outside of McLouth and he isn't the answer at this current time.

I suggest putting Martin Prado in the lead off spot. A Lead Off hitter is someone who should have great discipline and can get on base at a good clip. Prado has done that for the last few years with a career .368 OBP and averaging 3.84 Pitches per plate appearance.

Of course we need someone to hit 2nd and in front of Chipper. My canidate is Jason Heyward. Right now the kid has shown great discipline in the majors facing some of the best pitchers. Not to mention making adjustments to the way he is being pitched. Hitting in front of Chipper he will get a few more pitches to hit than he is now with the likes of McLouth hitting behind him.

The full line up i suggest is:

1. Prado 2B

2. Heyward RF

3. Chip 3B

4. McCann/Glaus

5. McCann/Glaus

6. Escobar SS

7. McLouth CF

8. Cabrera/Diaz LF

9. Pitcher
