Braves Add a New Broadcaster for CSS Games
Per the press release:
The Braves have announced that veteran sports broadcaster, Mike Morgan will join former Atlanta Brave Brian Jordan in the booth for four Atlanta Braves Spring Training games and 25 regular season Gwinnett Braves games on CSS.
Morgan, is currently the television voice of the Carolina Panthers and calls college football, basketball and baseball for various networks including ESPN, ESPNU and FS South. He called South Carolina Gamecock baseball, basketball and football on radio and television for 10 years.
I don't know much about him. Perhaps some of our Carolina readers will chime in and let us know what to expect from the new guy.

If I’m thinking about the right person, he’s ok. Nothing special, but he doesn’t tend to get in the way of the game the way some broadcasters do. I’m lookin’ at you, Chip Carey.
Shouldn't Reid Gorecki get a shot in RF before that Heyward kid everybody talks about?
I think I know who this is...
unless it’s another Mike Morgan. I worked in the SC SID during law school, and met him a number of times. Nothing spectacular, but he’s solid. Nice guy too and knows his stuff.
Nothing wrong with him
He shouldn’t have been fired from Gamecock sports in the first place. It was a political thing.
Just so long as it's not Joe
I’ll try not to hold his last name against him. I’m in the “Anyone-But-Joe Morgan” crowd. Who’s with me? I can’t stand that guy on Sunday evenings!
I was only 12 when Kent Hrbek stole the World Series.
Sunday Night Baseball
has the best crew with John Miller and Joe Morgan, that can’t be beat in my opinion
Seriously?
I was only 12 when Kent Hrbek stole the World Series.
haha seriously hahah
they are just godddd awful and they sure do love them some yankees

Bring back Katy Temple for the field.
Put Jerenovich back in the studio with Ron Gant, where he should be.
Ice Hickman’s dumb ass. If I saw that dude out in the street, I really might be tempted to deck his ass.

I already miss BOOG!
I know this may sound sacrilegious, but Sciambi & Simpson rivaled the early days of Skip and Pete.
"Son, why is my cocktail all over my penis?" -Skip Carey, trying to teach Chip how to drive a standard transmission
If Boog & Simpson rival Skip & Pete, then it’s a Mets-Braves kind of rivalry – one team is not even close to beating the other team.

I wouldn’t go that far, but they were certainly second best

They had a facebook page that Boog plugged like freaking crazy. Then he sells out. …..Thanks Boog. I guess it was fun while it lasted.

sold out?
If by sold out you mean major career promotion, then yes…

Tell that to Joe.

Haha, I mean they had a great rapport, but I’m sure Joe isn’t sore at all about Boog leaving. He’ll miss him, sure, but I’d bet Joe is really happy for Boog and knows he deserves it. Boog is a great broadcaster. He is now full time at ESPN. That’s what happens when you’re good at what you do, with exception of Joe Morgan.
how many major career moves have you made based on what your co-workers wanted?
"If I have asthma, they won't let me scuba. And if I can’t scuba, then what’s this all been about?? What am I working toward??"
Didn’t he used to work for ESPN before he came to the Braves? It’s it’s a major promotion, then it follows a major demotion, with him ending up essentially where he started.
I wrote a novel, it's about baseball, you should buy it: https://www.createspace.com/3407939

as far as I know
He wasnt full time at that point. I could be wrong.

As long as it's not Rathbun...

Two fucking comma-splices in one short press-release!
I swear most of these “professional” journalists get paid to not know shit about proper grammar and good syntax.
