I wouldn’t mind seeing McCann in the 4 and Glaus in the 5 spot now and then.

I just hope this team shows a little more power than they have so far this spring.

60% of the time, it works every time

Honestly I think McCann will perform better out of the 5 spot. And It’s early, the power will come. As long as we’re hitting the ball right now, which everyone seems to be doing aside from McLouth, we’re fine.

Kawakami - 1, Halladay - 0

I had several of those called though. I was sitting pretty, even after the first 3 games today. The only real hurt that I had was Georgetown, but I had them losing in the Sweet 16 anyway.

However, I had Clemson in the championship – I was going for the home-run pick in my office pool.

Interestingly enough, I have the Washington, Cornell and ODU wins. Sadly, Clemson has bent me over though.

Yeah. He is only 11 months removed from his surgery though, unlike Wagner and Hudson, who have had almost 2 years.

great showing, now sit him down

Proctor was impressive.

When asked what aspects of Heyward’s game need improvement, one scout simply replied, "Nothing."

Proctor was perfect in the frame with a K. His fastball hit as high as 94, a few times at 93 and once at 91. He K’d Avilla on the slider.

I really like Proctor. That was another good low risk-high reward signing this winter. A very good one, IMO.

Contract is such, we can have him next year if we don’t over do it early

by bighop on Mar 19, 2010 7:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah…but if he makes the team out of ST, that part of the contract is void.

Then he doesn’t need to make the team out of ST

by bighop on Mar 19, 2010 7:45 PM EDT up reply actions

Yep, all I've heard is good things about him, if he can stay healthy,

which no reason he shouldn’t, if he takes it easy coming back from TJ.

KK went 5 IPs, 6 H 3R, 2 ER. Not too shabby, considering 2 of the runs were from 2 swings.

Diaz up with 0 out and Heyward on 1st. Heyward isn’t even phased by the fact that he just got drilled with a fastball.
