The View From Your Seat
Space Coast Stadium, Braves vs. Nationals, 3/15/10, 7:05pm, top of the first
This was the view from My seat actually. I got a great scalped ticked in row 5 for $11. I didn't get too many other shots due to the screen being in the way and messing up my camera's focus. The only other one I want to share is this one of Nate McLouth and Terry Pendleton chatting by the screen after Nate made an out in the first inning. They're actually talking while Jason Heyward is batting; I'm not sure if they're talking about him and if TP is using Jay-Hey as an example for Nate -- that would be crazy -- or if it was just a coincidence that they were talking during his at-bat.
Nate did look better in his second at-bat, in which he drove the ball all the way to the center field wall. Still, he couldn't find a hit tonight. Martin Prado looked good with a line-drive homerun in the first, and Brian McCann took the hardest hit 0-fer on the night. Derek Lowe was the real champ, he was essentially perfect through four innings of work, and he had the strikeout working both called and missing bats. Now if only he can do that every time out...

Hope
I hope Pendleton can help Nate, good to see both of them taking the time to talk about it. Lowe sounded about as good as he can be, 6K, 6GO, 13 batters faced.
Nate was hitting well before coming to the Braves,
maybe talking to TP, is not a good thing, unless he is using Jay-Hey as an example, just sayin’.
When asked what aspects of Heyward’s game need improvement, one scout simply replied, "Nothing."
I agree… TP destroys lives…

Understood
When a guy is hitting .040, talking to anybody, even TP, can’t hurt. He’s the hitting coach, I understand we would rather he hand out sunflower seeds, but as the hitting coach I’m glad he at least talked to the guy.
Game
I was there too! judging from your picture i probably sat about 20 yards away from you on the first row over the braves dugout…it was a good day of braves baseball, felt good to talk to the guys during bp; however, i was disappointed that Heyward didnt sign a single autograph after the game on his way from the clubhouse to the bus. My only dislike with him this far, but i could imagine life could be hard in his new found spotlight.

I've gotten is autograph twice?
He’s kinda quite but as long as you say “Jason” can I get your autograph? I’ve actually never been turned down if I said their name first!!!! If you stand their or a mob is screaming a players name it’s different.
Dunedin, FL (Blue Jays) is a great place to get autographs. Both clubs constantly walk by fans to get to the clubhouse.
Way off topic, WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAND FOR AUTOGRAPHS IN KISSIMMEE? I WILL BE THERE ON SUNDAY FOR CARDINALS/BRAVES GAME. Trying to get Albert P’s autograph as he is one of the few current HOF locks I don’t have.
Also don’t ever ask for Jeter’s autograph in public. I’m sitting at Panera Bread the other day and he walks in with some 15 year chic. Sports shop is in the same parking lot so I walk over and buy a baseball. As Jeter is walking to his car ( no mob nobody following him) I congraluate him on the World Series and ask for an autograph. His reply, " You people in Tampa never leave me alone?" I’ve heard he was a jerk before but this just took me back. The guy has a mansion 3 blocks away, I don’t bug him while he’s eating, and I wait until he’s somewhat alone so I don’t start a frenzy.
O well……..
Jeter
Could’ve been the braves jersey I had on last Thursday when this occurred. The Yankees were playing the Braves that night. But still the guy was a jerk and had a tude.
Heyward wouldn’t even look at anyone the two days I was there this week. Sad, because he’s always been so nice.
The best place in Kissimmee to get the road team is down the first base line. The clubhouse is on that side behind the outfield wall in foul territory and everyone walks by you. The place is really easy for autographs.
I’m going to the game in Dunedin tomorrow, so hopefully you’re right about that place. I’ve heard good stuff.
I wrote a novel, it's about baseball, you should buy it: https://www.createspace.com/3407939
