Spring Training Open Thread: Blue Jays at Braves
I'm en route to spring training today, making the long hard drive down I-75 to Orlando. It looks like the rain has left the Disney area for the upcoming week, so I'm excited for warm weather finally. Maybe I can bring it back to Atlanta in a week.
I'm too early to know the batting order, but I do know that Tim Hudson will be on the mound for the Braves.

I'm a Vol fan
I’ve watched Bama beat my Vols too many times
Y'all got ditched big time this year.
You happy with your new coaching situation?

He looks ok
His Dad was a good man. Good riddance to Kiffen, he was trash from the start. We’d have ended up in big trouble if he had stayed. Not saying Tenn is lilly white, but Kiffen was just too blatent.
Monte is definitely a class act...
But NEVER liked his boy. He thinks he deserves accolades and respect and does not understand that those are things that have to be earned.

The only thing
he has ever won, are good jobs. Personality of a rock. Really glad he’s gone. I like Dooley, but kind of wish we’d let Fulmer have it for 1 year and have a real search instead of passing the screwing along. Fulmer is still being paid.
BTW,
DId you ever pick up Swan Song?

I played at LSU when Dooley was there. Apparently he’s come a long way because at the time I would have never imagined him the head coach for a program like Tennessee.

Hoping
I was hoping for a Prado lead off again today. Need to do something to get McLouth started. Or, I gurss he could just bunt every time!
Gotta love Jim Powell on the radio
“do or die play there for Chipper and well…he died.”

I was soooo wrong about Hudson
Never really cared for him, but real glad we signed him this fall. 4 K’s thru 2 innings is ok by me.
Salcedo
Was in the press box earlier, made to the USA
They just said Salcedo was in the press box with them today…..Is the whole visa thing cleared up?
Phuck the Phillies
Gotta be if he's here in the states...
you have to assume he isn’t just in town to see the game and meet the press.
Haha +1

Now batting.. Right Fielder Melky Cabrera...
Just doesn’t have that ring to it quite like that other kid that plays there.
Phuck the Phillies
Cabrera walks
then pass ball, 2nd and 3rd, Ross batting
What happened to the game???

Good inning
1 hit for jays, no runs. I’m not much of a ply by play, the Vols are playing the Cats right now
Its only Spring Training...

I sense a lot of “Major League” moments coming on this season…
Terminator hit into the right field bleachers…
Not at the distances he’s hitting ‘em at… I don’t think there’s a ballpark in operation today that will hold those 400-foot-plus mammoths.
hell fire freak
I’m talking out of the stadium!
I'm so excited, my hubby is home today and downloaded what I needed to listen to the game.
too bad we’re losing, but we’ll come back and win this one, maybe……

Chavez escapes damage, only because of some great D,
by Sammons and Conrad.

So much better than Brian Jordan,
but doesn’t take much talent to do that, Brian is horrible.

Hinske
The box score on the Braves site had Hinske pitching the last inning instead of Chavez… I had to come here to check that we really weren’t trying to sabotage our season by destroying our bench.
Makes two of us
I just signed in to check on exactly the same thing…

Question!
Talking Chop March Madness Bracket…would you be interested in joining? It’s free and just for braggin rights around TC. I know not many people are in here today, but a simple “yes” or “no” would work. I already have something set up…just wondering how much participation I would have.

Was at today's game.
A shame we lost, but got to see Haymaker Heyward knock a few out during BP. Lots of fun w/ my younger son despite the loss.
