That seems pretty fair to me. Personally I put us tied for tenth with Colorado, and the Tigers would be behind us somewhere. Detroit is not looking all that good with Jackson and Granderson gone. They’ve still got big names in Verlander and Miggy, sure, but there’s a fairly steep pitching dropoff after Verlander, with Porcello being the only other decently solid starter (albeit unspectacular) and a very iffy bullpen whose only redeeming factor is Valverde. The offense has to contend with a year-older Magglio, the lack of their departed table-setter, and a lack of any real impact bats other than Cabrera. Even their bench power is diminished with Thames gone, they’re way overvalued in the 9 slot.
The Rockies have a more electric offense than we do, at least on paper, but their pitching isn’t as deep. Jimenez is an ace and Cook is solid and a rebound year from Francis would give them an above-average rotation, but De La Rosa is still trying to put it all together and I’m not sure who will be their fifth man, but the now-gone stability of Marquis is gonna hurt a little, especially if #5 is Jason Hammel. They do have a pretty good bullpen, however.
I’d rearrange it as 12. Tigers, T-10. Braves and Rockies, 9. Dodgers.
Nate McLouth had already showed hes worth all the attention he had revieved...
WTF? I stopped reading after that.
Who cares about power rankings. We were #1 last year in week 2 and were 21st within a month and a half. They’re pointless.

I thought that statement was a little weird too. Especially when you consider that he had a down year after we acquired him. He didn’t exactly excite anybody as a Brave last year.
if true, this is dumber...
By the way, if Nate McLouth isn’t one of your favorite players already, he should be. This year he decided to change his number to 24. The reason? “It’s my favorite TV show and Lost isn’t a number.”

poorly researched
It reads like it was done in 30 min which is fine for this kind of thing I guess. But the Reds at 29? Ouch! They haven’t been a powerhouse for a while but have good potential to be at least in the neighborhood of #20. How bout a TC consensus power ranking? I’ll start from the top:
1. Braves
2. ?
1. Braves
2. Braves
3. Braves
4. Braves
5. Braves
6. Braves
7. Braves
T-8. Braves/Braves
etc…
