Braves on the Radio!!

I am the biggest Braves fan in New York City and I cant get enough of my team. I just bought an iPhone the other day and realized that I can upload a radio station called "The Zone" which is suppose to be the best sports station down in the ATL. I've listened to this station a few times and all they seem to blab about is college football and basketball and the Falcons....Whats up with that man? Can you recommand me a station that talks Braves? Thanks

“Biggest Braves fan in NYC”, eh. We’ll see.

So did I :)

When asked what aspects of Heyward’s game need improvement, one scout simply replied, "Nothing."

haha tough luck bro

the zone has nothing for us braves fans. u want “the fan”

Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball.

And that's 680 The Fan

They’re broadcasting Braves games this season, and they, too, love college football (the afternoon guys are Buck and Kinkade – sp? – Buck is a former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback). Even when they interview Braves players, they ask them college football and racing questions. Drives me nuts.

Their live stream on their website always “blacks out” the games. www.freebaseballradio.com always has a good link or two to a streaming broadcast though.

MLB At Bat 2010

You can listen to all the games if you buy the MLB At Bat app. If you buy the MLB TV subscription you can watch every game on your iPhone. It’s worth every penny.

I’ve gotten Cloninger’s autograph the last few years at the Red Sox minor league camp in ST. He’s crazy old. Like really, really old.

I think....

he is the only pitcher to hit 2 grand slams in a single game. My memory has been distorted over the years.I am celebrating my 52nd year as a Brave fan.BTW, Heyward looks awesome, really awesome.

I started watching them when I was 7, so I guess I’m on year 21. Which sounds crazy to say. Yes, Heyward is a beast and I know he’s going to be one of those guys I’ll be very proud to say, “I saw him in the minors, got a bunch of stuff signed by him, and he was cool as hell to me.”

Not at all crazy....

to say. refreshing ,actually as baseball is not the sport of choice these days.Too slow, they say. I laugh, because they way Jason steps down into a pitch, I thought he might have trouble with the pitch upstairs, and his next AB he crushed a high fastball into right.Hold on to those autographs, they should be worth something someday.Does it count that I have Mike Stanton and Marty Clary signed baseball when they were rookies?

Those Heyward autographs are already worth something…to me. I don’t expect that any autographs I have will be worth anything (how can I prove I actually got the guy to sign them) or care if they are, because I get more worth and value out of the experience of getting them than I ever could out of any money.

And you got me beat, I’ve never gotten Clary. Did get Stanton when he played for DC though. He didn’t want to sign but I was just so polite he couldn’t help himself.

I agree....

hardly about the money. As far as beating you… not my purpose.I can see you are a fan of the Braves. How are your book sales going? I did not get, but do not give up on your passion.

Yes Clary was a score at Shea. Stanton down the leftfield line the same day i thought. I think they were both rookies? My Brave highlight however , was seeing Smoltzie his very first start in NY. Strawberry still has not seen that pitch in the 4th, when John blew it past him.

Absolutely 680 The Fan

Buck and Kincade will be broadcasting all home games outside Turner Field in the outfield bricked area (hopefully you know where I am talking about). Buck will be doing pregame show with Lemke and Glavine (I believe… correct me if I am wrong).

Kincade’s a huge Philly fan but if you could get by that, you’ll be alright. I really enjoy their whole show. I know them both personally and they’re stand-up guys.

Also, the morning show, The Rude Awakening, has Leo Mazzone. Mazzone has some interesting info to share but tends to be too nostalgic.

680 The Fan

The Buck and Kinkade Show from- 3:00 to 7:00 pm. They are currently broadcasting from Orlando, FL. Yes Buck was a UGA QB and a very good one I might add, but he also was a fine baseball player too! Buck played outfield at UGA and was a 6th round draft choice by the Montreal Expos. In fact, he chose playing baseball over football by signing with the Expos. Smart man!!! I personally think he does a good job of interviewing the players and I think they enjoy talking with him!

New York? How about getting a reliable Braves affiliate in most of Alabama? It really burns my toast. Yeah, I said it.
