No more stat predictions! Lets do top 5 Position players in Atlanta Braves history.

Top 10 Position Players

1.Henry Aaron-For a guy who never hit 50 or more home runs, he was as steady as they come. 755 career homers,733 as a Brave, and 335 as an Atlanta Brave. He drove in a record 2297 runs and even had a 30/30 season back in 1963. He finished in the top 10 in MVP voting 13 times, winning his only MVP award in 1957. A 21 time all-star, Aaron, along with Willie Mays are,in my opinion, the top two offensive players of all time.

2.Chipper Jones-The "MAN" in the Braves lineup since coming up in 95', the year of Atlanta's only world series title,Chipper was shafted out of the ROY award in 95', with the award going to Hideo Nomo.Chipper is the Atlanta Braves all time leader in home runs with 436 and counting. He was the NL MVP in 1999, and has finished in the top 10 six times, and made the all-stat team 6 times. He won his only batting title in 2008, and behind Mickey Mantle and Eddie Murray, Chipper ranks 3rd in most offensive categories among switch hitters.

3.Dale Murphy-"The Murph" was on of the most dominant players in the 80's, winning back to back MVP awards in 82' and 83'. He finished in the top 10 in MVP voting 4 times, and won 5 gold gloves and made 7 all-star teams. He began his career as a catcher, and was such a good athlete that he turned in a 30/30 season(in 83') and won his gold gloves while playing in the outfield. My Favorite Player of All Time!!!

4.Andrew Jones-Began his career as a 19 year old in 1996, and went on to win 10 consecutive gold gloves. He hit over 300 home runs as a Braves a went to 5 all-star games. Since leaving Atlanta, his career has went into a tailspin, but his years with Atlanta will always be remembered as being the best CF in Baseball.

5.Javy Lopez- Lopez was a dominant force behind the plate in his 12 years in Atlanta. With a great combination of average and power Lopez made 3 all-star teams and was a leader in the clubhouse. Along with Chipper, Andrew, Ryan Klesko, and a collection of others, these players helped Atlanta win their 14 consecutive division titles.

I will do the pitchers later, but I am sure we all know Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltzy will all be on there....... As always, GO BRAVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
