SB Nation Atlanta Editor's Pick
OT: So I just read a few Braves articles on Bleacher Report
Before you judge me let me explain. I was Googling for some Braves articles out of boredom and one of them popped up. I figured why not? I was also sorta anxious to see if the articles had improved since my last visit ages ago. Well, my head almost exploded. Imagine the worst of the worst fanposts here (the ones that get deleted) and then just add marginally better grammar. It has really made me appreciate the good work done by the guys here at TC. Just want to take a second to say thanks to all who contribute here for doing what you do. Without it, well, I don't want to imagine a world where I have to regularly read Bleacher Report. One visit there has already make me hate slideshows for the rest of my life.
Briefly I encountered:
- A starting lineup where Matt Diaz played CF
- Analysis of Scott Podsednik's defense based on fielding %
- A potential Julio Teheran for Joakim Soria trade
- Endless slideshows
This FanPost does not express the views or opinions of Talking Chop.

BR really is the dregs of the internet.

Rec'd for posting what I was thinking last night.
…as I stumbled upon the same thing.
Bobby Cox, advising Jeff Francoeur about being thrown out of a game: "you’ll probably have to write a $500 check. Or you can do what I do, write a $10,000 one and tell them when it runs out, let me know."
I went to BR one day
it was bad. Oh so bad.

DIAZ in center????? Soria for Teheran???????
Soooo how long do you think it would take Braves fans that are located in or near the city of Atlanta to burn the place down if that ever transpired (RE: the JT deal)? I’d set the O/U at about 13 seconds, and I’d take the under.

LOL
I think I’ve seen the same article. I felt like shooting my dick off.

That bastard gets a fancy new blog, likely due to exposure here, and now he never comes around…
Don't kiss an ass if it's in the process of shitting on you.

God...
They also talk about Turner Field’s “Reputation as a hitters park” and have Freeman batting 6th in their projected lineup.

Oh, and apparently we're #3 on Jeter's most likely destination if he leaves NY
“The Braves have a club option they can pick up on shortstop Alex Gonzalez. But, if they signed Derek Jeter, they wouldn’t need to pick up that option.
Jeter would be a huge lift to Atlanta’s offense that desperately needs a top-of-the-order hitter.
The Braves also play in a big enough market to satisfy Jeter"
WOW. Just… wow.

The only place Jeter is going to go to be in a market as big as where he's leaving is if he plays for the Mets
Dan Marino (13) and Steve Nash (13) will go down in history as being the greatest passers to never win the last game of the season.
Good God
A) Too Expensive
B) Too Old, lowest production of his career, I wouldn’t want him hitting leadoff over Prado
3) We are NOT a “big market” team
4) He’s NOT going anywhere besides New York
Really? Would you want a serviceable shortstop who costs $15M+ a year, or a serviceable shortstop that costs $2.5M

Just further proof...
What would be laughed off of Talking Chop is the front headline article on Bleacher Report.

I would say we are a big market team
We are the “team of the South” there are fans all over… Braves baseball is immensely popular

i think he may end up in Boston just as a slight to Yankees from Theo Epstein

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
and we’ve already picked up his option, anyway.

What really pisses me off
is that jackass writers like that don’t do any fucking research. If they spent 20 seconds on ESPN’s splits, they’d see Martin Prado was arguably the best lead off man in baseball last year. Yet somehow, we’re still desperate for a hitter at the top of the lineup.

someone should totally sign up to write for them
and deliberately write the most ridiculous stuff. The contest would be to see who could get the most support for the most absurd theories/ ideas.
This is a great idea.
I approve.

Who says that this isn't already the case?
TC has over 5,000 members, and it’s easy to believe that some of the people who have written garbage that’s been promptly deleted here, get so angered and flustered at the snuffing of their first amendment rights, that they take their swill over to bleacher report, and post it there.
If I gave a left nut, I’d cross-reference the deletion of crap here, to what appears over there, but then I’d have to visit bleacher report.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
If you don't like it...
