Not much to it, but in the off season I'll read about anything Braves related.

Reads kinda harsh
1. Re: stiff and uncoordinated. Not a word about his defensive skills, which are considerable. Heck, I’m kinda expecting him to be able to go a couple of steps toward 2nd base to make Uggla look a little better. Heck, he should beat Glaus’ 0.5 WAR based on defense alone.
2. Re: hitting. The beauty of a lineup that includes Heyward, Jones, Uggla, McCann, Prado is that we won’t really care if FF takes a bit to get going in the majors. To the extent I’ve been keeping track, I see a kid that adapts and adjusts at every level, then starts mashing. Overall, I expect that he would out-perform Glaus (.240/16HR/.744OPS) by a bit and should have lots of RBI opportunities.
Bobby Cox, advising Jeff Francoeur about being thrown out of a game: "you’ll probably have to write a $500 check. Or you can do what I do, write a $10,000 one and tell them when it runs out, let me know."
I completely agree with you
I don’t think Freddie looks that stiff at all. Have they seen him play first? And furthermore hinting that the Braves might bench him for Uggla at first is just foolish.
We needn't have been nervous. The Melk-Man always* delivers.
* sometimes
It's Rotographs
the fantasy blog for fangraphs. They are only concerned about how he would perform in a fantasy league.
The WAR folks like yunel apparently. i know this, bobby cox hated going to war with this guy. ~Jon Heyman
