Brian McCann is Awesome
"Brian McCann: Awesome!, HoF?"
Interesting blog that tracks McCann's career path, thus far, and compares it to some of the all-time great catchers. He still has a long way to go, but even though he probably doesn't get as much press as he deserves, he's very much on the path to Cooperstown, thus far.

Thanks for the link.
I think both articles are worthwhile reading. It’s great to see two different perspectives basically come to the same conclusion, which is a win for Braves fans.
True
I just read it and realized it seems really familiar. Plus it was kinda funny since he opens with him admitting he was just trying to beat other people to the punch with the article.

After finally watching Monday's game (on Wednesday night!) I nominate Brian McCann for the Braves version of the Willie Mac award.
From Wiki:
“The Willie Mac Award is named in honor of Giants Hall of Fame slugger Willie McCovey. The Willie Mac Award is bestowed upon the San Francisco Giants player who best exemplifies the spirit and leadership consistently shown by the San Francisco legend throughout his career.”
He never gave up. He never stopped trying to win the game.
Given enough opportunities to do so I firmly believe he would have made it happen.
If he’d only been able to keep his foot down for Infante’s throw and not let Lowe talk his way to another batter it might have been a different outcome.
I laughed out loud when I first saw this, and I HAD to make a .gif out of it.

Gets bowled over and calmly produces the OUT evidence.
You ought to nickname him Brian “Timex” McCann.
Not a member or affiliated with McCOVEY CHRONICLES in ANY way/shape/form.
Despite all my hoarsely screamed threats SBNation cannot delete them from my profile.

completely awesome
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." A. Bartlett Giamatti
Duh.
