Blog Radio Appearance Today

Just a quick note that I'll be on the blog radio show for Hot Stove dot com today at 1pm EST. You can listen at their website and chat and stuff. I should be talking some off-season happenings and Braves baseball. Should be a good time.

Nice interview. I would be surprised if we don’t make the playoffs this year, regardless of whether Heyward starts in April or June.

I agree,

it was obvious they think our BP is a joke, looking forward to us proving them wrong.

When asked what aspects of Heyward’s game need improvement, one scout simply replied, "Nothing."

It's a risky bullpen...

I personally like B-Wags and think he’ll be great next year, but I’m VERY uneasy about Saito.

Bullpen

I’m really not understanding why everyone is so skeptical about the bullpen. Wagner and Saito are basically an older but potentially better version of Gonzalez and Soriano an please don’t say anything about Wags and Saito being more injury prone either because both Sori and Gonzo had their fill of injury issues while in ATL. Otherwise the rest of the bullpen should be the same if not better than last season. My bullpen would look something like this(with a couple of ST battles):

Wagner – CP/SUP
Saito – SUP/CP
Moylan – SUP/MRP
O’Flaherty – MRP/SUP
Reyes/Dunn/Hyde – LOOGY
Chavez/Acosta/Abreu – MRP
Medlen – LRP/SS

Martin, it was great having you on. I actually am a big Billy Wagner fan as you hear in the video. I am just concerned about his recent injuries. All in all the Braves are in really good shape, unlike the Mets who are stuck in mud right now. Can’t wait to have you on again!
