Mark Bowman seems to have a differing opinion or is getting a different read on what the odds are of Johnny Damon signing with the Braves:
In other words, it's not going to happen. Or as one Major League source said, "it would take a miracle" for (the Braves) to sign Damon.
David O'Brien thought just the opposite yesterday, when he said that Damon to Atlanta could still happen.
I don't know what to think anymore. I do think Damon would be a nice upgrade over Melky Cabrera, and perhaps a more proven commodity than Matt Diaz, but I don't want to take playing time away from Diaz or Jason Heyward. Tough call.
