2010 mock draft
http://www.draftsite.com/mlb/2010mock.htm
this place is normally a pretty good source of mock draft scenarios. however, this mock is completely asinine. they have us taking LeVon Washingon, a 2B who's silly fast and has good pop. one scout described him as having "Ricky's bat but Reyes' speed". That would look great on the field for us.
yet, he will NOT be there when we pick. plus, they have Stetson Allie going at #31 when all the scouting reports are saying that he won't fall past Cleveland in the top-10 (he's a local Ohio kid).
some people have suggested that Stetson Allie is better than Bryce Harper and that Harper is A LOT of hype and that his skill set is closer to Jay Bruce than to Albert Pujols.
my question is: who do you think the Braves should pick?

It’s interesting that somebody is already doing a mock draft, but even the ones done before the season are way off. There are just too many factors that go into a draft, particularly the baseballl draft. And, when you add in that the Braves will be in the middle of the round, who the hell really knows what they’ll do?

there's one thing pretty predictable...
or at least has been this decade it seems. The Braves #1 pick, and the vast majority of their remaining picks, will have ties to either the state of Georgia or a neighboring state (Bama, Florida, Tenn, SC, NC).
2010
I enjoy these speculations as much as most, but if you are doing a mock draft fro 2010, I would suggest getting a life first….

I think the important thing to focus on is position/skill set. We need a 3B desperately, I really wanted Bobby Borchering last year but hopefully we can find a good one this year, power pitching because those guys if they fail as starters turn into good relief pitchers generally, and speed (washington would cover that)

A misunderstanding
apoxonbothyourhouses—I never said that you did a mock draft. My reference was to the link which you posted and called “completely asinine”. I agree—there was no intention on my part to insult you or anybody else. Yes, I did read the thread.
