Heyward looked good in the MBraves home finale
I was sitting in a seat at the top of a row in right field, thinking that I would enjoy the final home game of the MBraves' "season-after-championship" bomb. I knew that Matt Young had been promoted to AAA and we had a new guy for the OF to replace him. However, I was watching my kids jump and have fun in the Fun Zone when the starting lineups were introduced and when the players took the field.
To my surprise I saw Heyward standing in his usual spot, ready to play. And play he did, both offensively with the bat and bag, as well as defensively. He went 3-4 with 2 RBI, striking out once. He advanced to 3rd base on a fly ball and when he slide into third it would be close, but Heyward beat him by a few fingers. I was on the third base side at that time and could easily see his reaction. He jumped up, clapped his hands together, and pumped his fist. He was glad to be flying around the bases and apparently his body felt pretty good.
Very reliable in his defensive game tonight. If a ball was hit toward him, you knew it would be caught. He even had to exert some leg power to get to one, and he seemed to do it with ease.
Not sure about his future or where he'll be in the weeks to come. But he looked mighty good tonight.

I hope you’re saving up for a nice camera. You owe us a ton of AFL picks of all the guys.

You know something
I don’t know why it didn’t click until now, but I see no reason why I couldn’t fly out to Arizona to catch an AFL game or three.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
its so nice in October. Think 75 degrees, no humidity and sunny (like, you can still get a tan sunny). perfect weather for baseball.
