Yunel Loafing

So Bobby Cox removed Escobar from the game in the 3rd inning after he didn't run out a ground ball hit the second base. I wasn't watching the game, but some say he would have been safe because of a throw that pulled Howard off the bag. That would have loaded the bases with 2 outs. I personally disagree with Bobby removing him from the game. Escobar is a clutch player and we definitely could have used him in there last night. But I also disagree with it because Escobar isn't the only player on this team who Loafs on some plays. I've seen Garrett Anderson, multiple times, jog to a ball in left field that has cost a run in an inning, or it allows a runner to get an extra base. I've also seen Anderson and Chipper jog up the line a few times when they hit groundballs in the infield this year. I just feel like Cox is singling out Escobar when there have been other players on the team to do similar things. Escobar is one of the better shortstops in this league. I would hate that he get tired of being treated differently from other players and not want to be here anymore. I know Escobar does some things that we all question at times throughout there year, but you can't deny how talented he is.
