Although we definitely need a big bat, I say it would be a truly huge mistake to deal Javier Vazquez.

depends on what we get back for him....

although with the naturally precarius health of starting pitchers, I’m not opposed to keeping them all.

From further down the article, it was discussing KK impersonating the guys batting stances:

When asked whose swing is the toughest to impersonate among his teammates, Kawakami said Garret Anderson.
"He has such pretty form, it’s hard to imitate," Kawakami said through his interpreter. "It’s so smooth."

It made me chuckle.

It's like his bat glides through the air.

Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

If we can land a stud hitter for Javy, im all for it.

But if its anything less than a stud hitter (im thinkin like 30+ HRs), i say we extend him for 2 more seasons after next.

Only at a reasonable ace.

I’d like the guy to prove this is more than a career year.

oh, yeah

thats what i meant (make sure he’s good after next season and then extend him). Obviously, we need to make sure this isnt just a super year for him.
