Remaining Schedules

Okay, so the Giants just destroyed the Rockies for the 2nd night in a row and now our beloved (and bi-polar) Braves are only 5 games back in the wild card chase (we're only 4 out in the loss column, actually). Its hard to believe, but our team still has a fightin' chance of playing October baseball. I know a lot of us counted the Braves out, myself included, but hey, why not us?

Also, I know that "the only team that matters is the Braves because blah blah blah..." in regards to the schedule. I agree somewhat, but if we finish our season 21-0 and the Rockies finish 21-0 as well, we're kinda outta luck. So here goes:

Braves:                      Phillies:                  Marlins:                 Rockies:                  Giants:

2 vs. Mets                  2 vs. Nationals      1 @ St. Louis        1 @ SF                     1 vs. Rockies

3 vs. Phillies             3 @ Atlanta             4 @ Cincinatti       -Off day                     -Off day

3 @ Mets                   -Off day                    -Off day                   3 @ Arizona             3 @ LA

-Off day                      3 @ Marlins             3 vs. Phillies         -Off day                     3 @ Arizona

3 @ Washington     4 @ Milwaukee       -Off day                   3 vs. Padres            4 vs. Cubs

3 vs. Marlins             4 vs. Astros              3 vs. Mets              3 vs. Cardinals       -Off day

4 vs. Nationals         3 vs. Marlins            3 @ Atlanta            -Off day                     3 vs. DBacks

-Off day                  3 vs. Brewers           3 vs. Padres

                                                                       3 @ Philly              3 @ LA

Of the remaining schedules, I think the Marlins have it the hardest and the Giants and Braves have it the easiest. It'll be interesting to see if the wild card race comes down to the final weekend. If it does, the Braves and Giants have a huge advantage over the Rockies and Marlins. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Go Braves.
