im using css too…the standard definition channel switched to the FB game, but the HD channel didnt…

think i figured it out
it appears that charter and comcast team up to offer the Braves on HD, but it’s treated as a separate station from the standard def. broadcast. In other words, my espn HD channel is still called ESPN, but the Braves game is played on a channel used only for Braves games (other CSS stuff does not appear on this channel) and the channel has a different set of call letters (WPCHD for me, while the CSS station is called CSS)
That’s the way it is here. Do you live in or near Chatt.?

Do you have to have an HD set to watch those channels? I can get the audio on my SD television, but it’s accompanied by a blank screen.

I twitter to @comcastcares about it. Probably won’t do any good. They didn’t give a crap when I complained about here in TN getting switched to Fox Sports TN instead of Sports South. Means when the Braves are on SS I don’t get the broadcast, I get the Reds all the time.
So I purchased MLBTV and set up IE to route through a proxy. mlb.com thinks I’m in Boston so I get to see the games.

I can’t get over how the newspaper sports sections immediately went ga-ga with mutli-page spreads on SEC football. Baseball got shoved into box scores and wire items on the next-to-last page.

and people want college football, pure and simple. Clemson has a stadium that seats almost 90k and sells out every game…about 400 people got to each braves game…you do the math.
That’s exactly right. You have to do what sells papers and drives ratings. I understand that. I guess it’s a little frustrating because i just don’t give a rip about football. Equal time isn’t such a bad thing.

the thing is,
there are only about a dozen football games in college each season. there are 162 baseball games. this is why the football stadiums have to be near 100K…to try and keep up with demand. if there were only 20 or so baseball games in a year, i’d be willing to bet every single game for every team would sell out…maybe even FL. it sucks though, i couldn’t care less about college football.
