Heyward #1 prospect in Baseball!

Baseball America's mid-season top 50 prospects in baseball came out today and surprise, surprise our own Jason Heyward was named the number 1 prospect in all of baseball.  Freddie Freeman came in as the #11 prospect overall, which is a HUGE jump from where he was ranked in the off-season.  I'm glad to see that Baseball America isn't down on Freeman for hitting doubles instead of homers.  I don't know about the rest of you but this was a good mood enhancer for me on a 95 degree day in Kansas City.

Heyward is great and we all know it, but it should be interesting to see if Freeman can outdo the Jay/Hey kid

indeed.

Neither one has flashed as much power as i expected this year but they still have done really well for themselves.

Huh?

Heyward has flashed significant power. He’s just missed over a month of AB’s so his totals don’t look that outstanding.

Maybe his expectations were really, really high.

How in the hell is a .231 ISO not having a lot of power?

Freeman’s is low, but shit, he started rough last year too
