Steve McNair was my favorite NFL player of all-time. I’ve got 2 McFarlanes on my wall and a bobblehead on my dresser. He was THE MAN. Nobody in any sport could touch his heart.
You will be missed. RIP

This makes me very sad.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." I’m pretty sad about this. I can probably count on my two hands how many Titans/Oilers games I’ve missed since they move to TN, and Steve was the face of that franchise for most of those years. It’s not quite as close to home for me as if a Brave had died, but this is about that close. So I still don’t even know what to say.
The man was a warrior who sacrificed his body on the field, and a very good person off the field. It’s always a shame when someone dies as young as he did, and the circumstances appear to be even more tragic than that. McNair was one of the good guys, in a league that doesn’t have enough, and was an absolute pleasure to watch play.
RIP Steve #9
Q: If on-base pct is so important then why don't they put it on the scoreboard? -Failcoeur
A: Because the Braves don't want to show their fans how bad you suck.
