Remember what this day stands for and all of those who sacrificed so much to make it so!

Or remember the fact that we actually stole this country from people who were very happy and were living great lives.

At least we named a bunch of sports teams after them and do their war chants at our baseball games… isn’t that fair compensation?
Citi Field?

I was thinking more like Espn and most of the writers in there check this out from Buster Onley.

what about....
adding Fielder and Kotchman to that deal? it gives them the pitcher they need and the power bat we covet. Brave lineup…..

Hardy
Chipper
Fielder
Mc Cann
Hart

Joey Chestnut ate 68 dogs today. U-S-A! U-S-A!
Take that, Kobayashi.

I been thinking about getting it. I would get it now if they offered a prorated price. I dun wanna pay full price for half a season.

Sup People?
For some reason i thought todays game was later
Also how about Brooks Conrad? Kids trying to be everyday
Day Off?
I was curious about the same thing
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 2:03 PM EDT up reply actions
wow the Braves released Kala Kaiahue today to make room for Freeman. A little surprising even if he has been unproductive.
why not just move him to another level?
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 2:10 PM EDT up reply actions
I wonder
How Conrad would do if we kept him up here. Then put KJ in AAA to fix his stuff when he comes off the DL

Ya man. Haven’t you been paying attention this year?

oh believe me i know
i hate it. especially when a guy gets a lead off double
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 2:14 PM EDT up reply actions
well
if we trade him i’m sure we get back a bat thats either better or just as good. so im not worried about that.
some of these plays tho, like the one the other night when he dived up the middle . . . that was classic

Just got here, been motrcyling on this beautiful day!
But speaking of the Esco trade, I haven’t read the article, but I do know Bobby does not care for him, because of all he said when he benched him. I also know Chipper does not care for him because of something he said on a TV special with a few of the players. Chipper was ask which player would he least want to be stranded on an Island with,
he quickly said Yunel. When ask why, he said " he drives me crazy, talking all the time, and not listening when he needs to be!" Chipper and Bobby are joined at the hip, and think more old school, and Esco does not fit that mold.
I have been looking for him to be traded ever since the benching.
Not saying I like it or not…….
Time for Hanson
to K the side?
Would be nice. im not sure he has done that yet
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 2:31 PM EDT up reply actions
A Walk, 3 hits, a run scored.
And he STILL only threw 17 pitches that inning.

Looks like Tommy and our O have been playing well today!
Anything special happen , I need to know about?
Does the Nationals remind you guys of us?
Like the top half of the line up is good but the bottom half sucks?
although
lately we have been doing better.
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 2:37 PM EDT up reply actions
Tommy- 88 pitches through 6.
62/26 strike/ball
Not too bad but throwing alot.

I guess not. Maybe I am just reminescent about the old days. I remember one game where Maddux threw an 81 pitch complete game shutout against the cubs. If I remember right, the game only lasted like an hour and half.

Is it just me
or do balls hit to right center this series seem to be carrying more than they appear off the bat?
Anyone think we might be looking at Willingham?
Possible the Nats put him in RF just for the Braves? Who do we trade them?
Just speculation.
If the Nats can get Strasburg, they could potentially have a good rotation with Strasburg and Zimmerman followed by Lannan.
Nope. Boras is talking to the Japanese teams. Strasbourg gonna be pitching for the Hokkaido-Nippon Ham Fighters.
That would be hilarious.

I say
Eat some of Lowe’s Contract. and trade him. he’s more expensive
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 2:59 PM EDT up reply actions
actually
because he wasnt a starter till late in his career his arm doesnt have as much mileage as other starters his age
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 3:01 PM EDT up reply actions
He’s better than most. the only reason more people didnt go after him this off-season is because of his contractual demands. If they could get him at 10 mil im sure people will take him
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 3:03 PM EDT up reply actions
Dunn man. He is a fuckin Braves killer.

Forgive me for expecting a man getting paid millions of dollars to do his job. It would have been different if they had hit the balls he threw, but he walked 2 guys. That’s crap.
I'm pretty sure he has done his job this season
getting knocked around is part of the game. If he did this all the time then you’d have a point, but he doesn’t, so you really dont.
I’m pretty sure I do. My point is that he was complete shit today. If you don’t believe me, look at his line.
calm down buddy, it's a message board
btw, McCann failed miserably at his job today because he is payed a lot to hit and he is batting .000 today. MISERABLE!!!!
no.
He isnt that stellar outside of ERA.

I actually
said that before. But of course i got disagreement all around
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 3:24 PM EDT up reply actions
I agree...
they can’t keep using the same 4 relievers (Moylan, O’Flaherty, Sorian, & Gonzalez) almost everyday & expect them to stay sharp each time. Fatigue will set in.
Find a team that will take KJ for a Reliever.
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions
or
we could send him down to continue develop as a starter. and then bring in a good reliever from somewhere.
by drumzalicious on Jul 4, 2009 3:27 PM EDT up reply actions
Im not sure
That he would be that big of an upgrade. we need another shut em down type. It would have been nice to work a deal with Colorado for Street and Hawpe

Met and Phils just coming on here
I think I’ll watch and see who beats who. Too bad they can’t both lose!
Cox
One of the problems with Bobby is that he don’t know when to pull the trigger on his pitchers…Year after year I watch him leave pitchers in too long and pull pitchers when he should leave them in….I guess if he don’t know by now, then he’ll never learn….Come on Bobby!!!!!
Roll Tide Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
