Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals, Jul 3, 2009 6:35 PM EDT
Let's see if we can beat the worst team in baseball. I feel confident with us coming off of a 3-game sweep of the Phils, but the Nationals always play us tough.
Kelly Johnson was placed on the DL with right wrist tendinitis, which could explain some of his hitting problems. Brooks Conrad was called up to replace him.
Tonight's game will also tell us if Kenshin Kawakami is all right after getting hit in the neck last week.

actually, I don’t want FYF taking ABs away from Heyward in AA or Gorecki in AAA, so FYF will have to go back to low A ball

If we’d had this bullpen with that team, we could have gone to the WS. The bullpen that year was freaking awful. It was Kyle Farnsworth, Reitsma was decent, and everyone else needed a new gig.
