Kelly Johnson to the DL
I knew last night Brooks Conrad was going up to Atlanta. Now we know who's spot he's taking.

interesting
someone underperforming always has an underlying injury on our team. Campillo, Schafer, Bennett, JoJo, and now Kelly.
Just wish they would step up as soon as they knew that they were injured and sit because they are ultimately hurting the team trying to play hurt

I'm skeptical
of the timing of these injuries.

If they're playing through something (even if it's relatively minor)...
This is a good chance to let them get healthy and get some reps in a rehab assignment while it also frees up a roster spot for a guy to replace them.

At least
it isnt the mysterious “Anxiety disorder” that keeps DL-ing D-Train.

From Chipper:
Jones said Johnson dealt with a similar problem last year, got a shot, and then took off at the plate in the second half. Johnson hit .308 after the All-Star break last year.

Johnson suck
he could never hit .308 or be a valuable member of this team.

what the heck?
Why do we let people play hurt?
Morton was having back issues last year. He would get a shot and pitch lights out then it would flare up again. they eventually shut him down.
I mean . . . really

Because they're professional athletes.
They’ve got a lot of pride. They don’t want to admit that they can’t do something they’re paid to do; feels like they aren’t doing their job.

People say things like this, but then when Chipper sits because he’s hurt, they question his toughness. You can’t have it both ways.
