Apparently the Jays GM wants three of the Phillies best young talents in exchange for Roy Halladay in J.A. Happ, Kyle Drabek, and Dominic Brown. A couple of things jump out at me.

The first is that most had assumed this deal would include either Drabek or Happ (rather than both) and two or three hitters.

Secondly, it's incredible to think that Philadelphia could send three excellent prospects to Toronto and still have one of the top farm systems in baseball.

Yes.

I would do this in an instant if I were Amaro. Best case scenario it doesn’t get done. 2nd best case scenario Phils decide Drabek is untouchable and end up overcompensating for him.

Pete Rose was actually banned from baseball for teaching Jeff Francoeur how to play. He made up the gambling stuff to hide his shame.

Yeah?

Well we sent about SIX prospects to Texas and still have one of the BEST farm systems in baseball.

Oh, Bobby.

Carrasco for Drabek

Apparently a Jays assistant GM was scouting Carlos Carrasco yesterday and it’s believed that the Phillies hope to substitute him for Drabek in the deal.

I was hoping Halladay would cost the Phils Drabek, Taylor, and at least one other good, young talent. To see them retain both and land the Doc would be devastating.

I know it's "only spring training," but is it time to be concerned about McLouth?
