Braves, go to work.

Everyone got a break (except McCann) over the past week.  Couple days off.  Start off a homestand with four games against the Mets.  Six games out of first, and up on the fourth place Mets by the slimmest of margins.  The two teams ahead of the Braves, the Phillies and Marlins, will be going at it four times in Miami.  Perfect time to go to work.

Tonight our "ace" is going against a guy who has a 8.78 ERA in 2009 and a whopping 12.71 road ERA.  His one start back from the DL in July he threw 5 innings and walked 7.  While Perez, inexplicably, has seemed to dominate the Braves over his tenure in New York, this is no time to let history repeat itself.  Get to him, and into the bullpen early in the first game.

This New York team is decimated by injury, they are starting our favorite right fielder, and pitching a guy who has been absolutely terrible.  This series is a big one for the Braves.  On the table is the potential to get back over .500, bury a division rival, ruin a Francouer homecoming, all the while the first and second place teams are handing one another losses.  Go to work, Braves.
