How the heck does this game count. With all of the ceremonies and everything before the start, there is no way it is anything more than an exhibition. I hate that this supposedly matters, but yet the fans still vote for the starters. Its not like the manager can actually build the team he wants to put on the field. It ridiculous!

yeah. He was covering his @$$ for the year it ended in a tie. I guess NL homefield advantage 1 year and AL the next was too fair.

Thanks for letting me know I’ll be alright; It was a bit dicey there.

All the hype of Obama’s first pitch and I didn’t even get to see how good/bad it was. What the heck? Halladay’s interview going silent was hilarious. Maybe Obama should announce every year b/c the NL really rallied when he was in the booth. GO NL!!!!
it made it to the plate
it also was a curve so to speak lol

So. These pitchers don’t have better numbers than JJ or Vazquez, except for the W/L count. Pretty pathetic on Manuel’s part, not to mention him adding an excess of Phillies… pretty selfish if you ask me.
yeah, but Joe Torre did the same thing when he managed the Yanks.

bevy of camera angles, but end up right back at center field cam, call me vanilla
Dear god please don’t let this game go into extra innings. I’m already going to be at work late because of the game.
This game may go into extra innings.

Remembering why I don't usually watch this game
The coverage sucks, and Tim McCarver takes everything he does bad and elevates it to a new level for this one.
I have a horrible feeling that Jeff Bennett is going to come in and blow this game…oh wait…nevermind.
People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.
Yeah, my bad…I meant Moylan. :)

It’s a shame Javy or Soriano weren’t picked.

Major fail here letting Nathan face him with Fuentes in the bullpen. Regardless of the impending strikeout.
Ugh
Charlie Manuel sucks at putting together an All-star team…freakin Ryan Howard did not deserve to be there.

And now
we get to listen to talking heads talk about how “composed” the AL team was, and how they didn’t falter in the spotlight, while the NL team wasn’t “clutch.”
Analyzing the outcome of the all-star game after the fact kind of sucks.
Another year, another AL victory, and another AL homefield advantage in the World Series

I flipped back and forth – wondering if BMac would get a chance before the 9th. When I did see the NL bat, it was like watching the Braves this year with their impatience at the plate. I asked hubby if there is a rule in the NL that you must not work the opposing pitchers much.
I hate Heap popped up, but honestly I was surprised he even had a turn to bat. I noticed too the announcers talked about the pitcher and everything else besides Brian when he was at the plate. They eventually had to say who was batting, but it was brief and with no accolades. Even when he came in to catch the 9th, just a mention of his name and that’s all.
Only good thing with that game is it’s over, the Phillies lost (wink) and our guys and BP got some much needed rest.
