[Ryan Church] also is happy to be playing with his good friend, Atlanta third baseman Chipper Jones.
"I grew up in the '90s as a big Braves fan. I'll never tell him, but he was my favorite player," he said. "It's cool now to be playing with him."
From ESPN
We always seem to trade for guys who are (a) friends with Chipper Jones and (b) lifelong Braves fans.

Everyone is probabaly a lot like myself.
Watched the Braves when they were on TBS every night.
The base paths belonged to me, the runner. The rules gave me the right. I always went into a bag full speed, feet first. I had sharp spikes on my shoes. If the baseman stood where he had no business to be and got hurt, that was his fault. -Ty Cobb

ditto...
here’s hoping that Chipper turns into the Braves’ Manager when he decides to hang up the spikes.

And it's not just the US...
Jurrjens grew up watching the Superstation and loving us.

in other news
Brandon Jones hit his first homer of the season. Congrats! Maybe he can go on a power surge and become somewhat relevant to this team’s future again.
